These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Eaase app and website at eaase.app, operated by Eaase (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using Eaase, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.

Questions? Email us at hello@eaase.app

1. The service

Eaase is a lifestyle app that gives you tools to read better content, understand your spending, move more, and sleep better. Features include a curated content feed, a budget analysis tool, a fitness planner, a sleep coach, and a personal curriculum builder.

We’re constantly improving. We may add, change, or remove features at any time. If we make a significant change, we’ll let you know through the app or by email.

You must be at least 16 years old to use Eaase. By using the service, you confirm that you are.

2. Your account

You’re responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Don’t share your password. Let us know at hello@eaase.app if you suspect unauthorised access.

You agree not to use Eaase to do anything unlawful, abusive, or harmful — including attempting to reverse-engineer the app, scrape data, or interfere with the service.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms. If we do, we’ll tell you why unless we’re legally prevented from doing so.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Eaase offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription. The Pro plan is billed monthly or annually, depending on the option you choose at sign-up.

Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Billing, renewals, and refunds are handled by the relevant app store in accordance with their own terms. We don’t have access to your payment details.

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel. To cancel, go to your subscription settings in the App Store or Google Play before the renewal date. Cancelling stops future charges — you’ll keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for.

Prices may change. If we increase the price of your subscription, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that point means you accept the new price.

We don’t offer refunds for partially used subscription periods, except where required by law — including the Australian Consumer Law, which gives you rights that these Terms can’t override.

4. User data and uploads

Some features, like the budget tool, let you upload financial documents such as bank statements. Here’s how we handle that:

  • Uploaded files are used only to generate the insights you see in the app.
  • We don’t share your financial data with third parties for advertising or marketing.
  • We don’t store raw bank statement files beyond what’s needed to process your request.
  • You retain ownership of any data you upload. By uploading, you give us a limited licence to process that data for the purpose of providing the service.

For full details on how we collect, store, and protect your data — including your rights under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the UK/EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) — see our Privacy Policy.

If you’re in the UK or EU, you have additional rights under GDPR, including the right to access your data, request deletion, and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@eaase.app.

5. Intellectual property

The Eaase app, website, content, brand, and underlying technology are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms don’t give you any ownership of them.

You may use the service for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from any part of Eaase without our written permission.

Content you create or upload (like notes or uploaded files) remains yours. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to use that content only to the extent needed to provide the service to you.

6. Limitation of liability

Eaase provides tools to help you manage your lifestyle. We’re not financial advisers, medical professionals, or personal trainers. Nothing in the app constitutes financial, medical, fitness, or legal advice. Use your own judgement and seek professional advice where appropriate.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of Eaase
  • Loss of data, revenue, or profits
  • Decisions made based on information or insights provided by the app
  • Temporary unavailability of the service

Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable consumer protection legislation that cannot be excluded.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or the re-supply of the service — whichever we choose.

7. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer law.

If you’re using Eaase from within the UK or EU, local consumer protection laws may also apply and are not overridden by these Terms.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll post the updated version here and update the “Last updated” date. For material changes, we’ll notify you through the app or by email. Continuing to use Eaase after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
